Paint on Anything with Acrylics

With Acrylics you can paint on canvas, sure, but also on walls, on stone, even on an old unattractive painting if you like. The painting in a golden frame (see further down, please) has had a history of that sort. I had been given an old, tatty, very amateurish painting (of lady with hat) in a scratched frame, and I couldn't even remove the frame. So I cleaned it carefully and painted over the outer frame with golden acrylics, and the inner frame plus the painting itself was covered with white acrylics. After which I sketched the waterlily motif with pencil and then painted it, also in acrylics. It now hangs in my parents' home, and I'm told it's much admired.
